A few years back, I had a podcast called It's All Mishegoss. You can still find it on specific podcast platforms on the web, Shout Engine being one where it all started, and all the episodes are there.
Back then, I talked about everything happening in the world, especially in the political arena, that had to do with mishegoss.
It was fun, and I enjoyed every minute of those podcasts even though sometimes, due to political beliefs, I caught a great deal of flack, but that's what talking opinions is all about. You need tough skin to discuss controversial topics, and I have that skin.
The Start of Contemporary Mishegoss
When I started this newsletter, it was based on a class I took in high school that kept me thinking and questioning things in the world. Little did I know back then how much that class would mean to me in later years. Thanks to my teacher Henry Giroux he opened my eyes to many things in life. Henry is now a Professor in Canada at McMaster University.
I've been writing for a little while on this newsletter, and speaking is a lot easier than writing, although writing helps keep my brain working on a technical level, so I'll still be writing as we go into the future, but... I may also add video to this newsletter as we move forward.
The Future of CM
Now there's a great question I don't have the answer to yet. Much will depend on the response to both written, podcast, and video posts. Yup, it's all in your hands as to what happens to this newsletter.
I am turning on the paywall even though you won't have to pay for anything right now. I'm thinking of using the paywall more as a donation for now. Maybe in the future, if this turns out to be bigger than I imagined, we'll have some stuff for paying members only.
For now, if you do donate, don't think I won't know who was in this at the very beginning. I'll remember that when and if we have paywall material.
For now, hang in there with me and keep me on my toes by commenting and making suggestions. I'm open to everything that'll make your newsletter better.
Be Well! Stay Safe!
